- Responsible and accountable for all technical aspects of supporting, maintaining, and enhancing assigned system(s).
- Ensures effective resource allocation and planning to meet both modernization and ongoing support requirements.
- Acts as the IS owner for assigned projects and support activities, ensuring system design, development, code review, and deployment are completed as scheduled.
- Manages project budgets & financial planning for modernization initiatives.
- Manages a group of professional technical resources, including Senior Technical Analysts, Software Developers, and/or Team Managers.
- Develops, maintains, and updates long-term plans for the team, including skill development, succession planning, and strategy for modernization and ongoing support.
- Contributes to the development and execution of technology strategies that align with business objectives and support the long-term vision for assigned systems.
- Evaluates emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to ensure technology decisions are informed by both technical and business perspectives.
- Completed University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 5 years of application development management experience within the Financial Industry
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience
- Strong technical proficiency with a focus on workflow optimization, connectivity, and integration across platforms
- Hands on experience with agile methodology
- Experience leading modernization of legacy platforms, including cloud migration, API enablement, and adoption of AI/ML technologies.
- Prior experience in transfer agency systems
- Knowledge of PROGRESS OpenEdge is a nice to have
- Excellent planning and organization; ability to multi-task and manage complex projects.
- Effective communicator with both business and technical users; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and business logic for technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to address complex challenges promptly.
- Ability to lead and influence others; provide direction and assistance to developers, analysts, and project teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning of new technologies, especially those relevant to modernization and AI-native systems.
- Working knowledge of technology stack used in modern enterprise platforms, e.g. React/Angular, Java, Postgres, API (REST/SOAP), etc.
- Strong understanding of business processes and domain; able to make technical decisions backed by business insight.
- Effective mentoring and development of directs; strong people development skills.
- Base Salary: A competitive annual range of $130,000 to $150,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
