What you will do
- Perform a variety of complex and routine legal and administrative duties while coordinating and assisting lawyers and senior paralegals in other KPMG offices with assigned matters.
- Drafting corporate documents for incorporations, amending articles of incorporation, preparing annual returns, drafting resolutions for dividends, dissolutions, and amalgamations.
- Drafting closing agendas, share provisions, supporting resolutions and editing agreements for corporate reorganizations.
- Reviewing corporate records and maintaining records on corporate database, shareholder ledgers and registers, preparing appropriate rectification steps when required.
- Drafting documents to create partnerships and limited partnerships, organizations, rollovers, changes in records and maintaining records.
- A minimum of 8 years of corporate law experience
- Completion of CORES Level I, Level II and Level III
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Decisiveness and the ability to balance the demands of an emerging practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills
