The Groundwater Team leads and manages water resources projects involving hydrogeological and water quality components. If you are interested in evolving your professional experience, apply today!This posting closes at end of business on May 1, 2026Your Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementIn addition to your regular professional scope of work in the field of hydrogeology, your added responsibilities will include:Manage the resourcing and development of a team of engineers, hydrogeologists, environmental scientists and technical staff within the Groundwater groupCollaborate with other team leaders and discipline leads to achieve effective resource planning and operational alignmentSupervise junior staff and help with career developmentChair regular team meetings & share informationLead in the creation of Stantec’s safety culture within your teamSupport the team to meet their respective utilization targetsEncourage a culture of innovation in the teamInspire collaboration and cross-trainingAttract, grow, and retain high-quality staffCoach team membersPerform Year-End Performance Reviews for team membersParticipate in and/or manage hydrogeological project workProject Delivery & Technical ExcellenceOversee projects with varying degree of complexity, performing technical design tasks and providing guidance to team members.Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on own and peer projects.Your Capabilities and CredentialsLeadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversityExperience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environmentStrong organizational and time management skills that include balancing immediate and long-term work commitments with varying priorities and deadlines.Experience with hydrogeological field work, characterization, data analysis, and reportingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong business development, client management, communication, and financial management skills are essential.Ability and willingness to travel when neededEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in civil, hydrotechnical, geoscience, or related engineering discipline.Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the industry.Work EnvironmentTypical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
