This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products. As part of this role, you will specialize in all things investments, including mutual funds.How you’ll be spending your timeMember Experience and Sales
Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning
Provide account and investment products within scope of position, to meet member needs:
Memberships and accounts
Consumer investment products
Cards
Registered products
Safety deposit boxes
Mobile banking solutions
Day to day banking needs
Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction
Compliance and Organizational Support
Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
Ensure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team
The experience you bring
2 to 3 years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity
Actively registered to sell Mutual Fund Products
Experience in a Sales position is considered an asset
Experience in portfolio management
Completion of or working towards the Financial Planner and Personal Financial Services Advice designations
Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) license is required
