- Clean work site of any tools, debris and equipment
- Erecting and dismantling concrete forms.
- Following grade to ensure proper placement of form.
- Reading of grades, curbs, and gutters.
- Safe use of hand and power tools.
- Work collaboratively with crew.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Behaves in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves, their co-workers, and others on the work sites.
- Reports incidents, injuries, and near misses and participates in the investigative process.
- Assists other employees when required.
- Attends and participates in toolbox and safety committee meetings as scheduled.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and directions regarding standards of workplace behaviour in completing job duties and assignments.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher with city and flatwork experience
- Strong understanding of City of Calgary roads specifications
- Knowledge of hand tools and floats
- A working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment required to finish flatwork in a variety of finishes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset but not required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to plan and work efficiently and effectively to maximize progress while maintaining safety standards and project specifications
- Maintains a valid Class 5 driver's license or better.
- Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
- Willing to work overtime, as required.
- Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
