Reporting to the Maintenance Electrical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You will ensure proper efforts are made in the operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment, operating systems and components. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, health and safety code of conduct, and the environment.Coordinate the daily job lineup and oversee the following:12.5 kV and 600 V power distribution.Electrical construction activities, including new electrical substations and refuges.Electrical services and secondary power distribution, such as cable pulling and terminations for PTOs, fans, VFDs, starters, BCUs, cameras, etc.In collaboration with IT: leaky feeder, DOCSIS, and LTE deployment and maintenance.Programming and instrumentation activities.Electrical and instrumentation preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Provide support to the Mobile Electrical Supervisor when required.Follow the 2‑week schedule and manage break‑in according to mine priorities.Work with a CMMS (JDE).Work with underground mining planning tools (DESWIK).Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Mines Act, and CSA Z462 (Electrical Safety and Arc-Flash)Ensure safe work procedures and training compliance according to AEM policies.Conduct daily toolbox meetings and monthly safety meetings.Apply the principles and practices of the Supervision Formula.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree, College or Professional Diploma and relevant experience in electrical field;10 years of experience in the underground mining;3 to 5 years of experience in supervision;Cultural awareness and understanding of work in the Canadian Arctic is considered an asset.Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.Your Work Schedule:Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
