- Serve as the strategic leader for the security architecture and engineering team, providing direction and mentorship to a talented group of security professionals. Assist in shaping and executing the long-term security strategy.
- Lead the design and implementation of robust security architectures, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Oversee the integration of security controls across all technology environments.
- Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive cloud security strategy, ensuring our cloud environments are resilient, scalable, and secure.
- Continuously evaluate emerging security technologies, trends, and standards. Drive innovation and adoption of new security solutions that mitigate potential risks and align with the organization's risk tolerance.
- Conduct and oversee thorough security assessments, providing expert analysis and recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure that security risks are identified, communicated, and effectively mitigated.
- Collaborate with technology, operations, and business teams to integrate security by design principles into all stages of development and operations. Effectively communicate security risks, strategies, and initiatives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive the design and implementation of security platforms, automation capabilities, and operational use cases to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent industry certifications.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in security architecture, engineering, or a related information security role.
- At least 4 years of leadership experience within a security architecture or engineering team.
- Experience within the financial services sector, particularly in Canada, is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical implementation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and departments.
