Much of this success has been driven by our team’s delivery excellence and throughput, which has allowed us to release a large volume of quality digital capabilities into production.In this role, you will be working as a Technical Senior Project Manager delivering projects for Mobile, managing end-to-end delivery on a series of new features. These features are typically complex technical integration projects, involving changes and integration on various mid-tier or core systems within RBC, as well as the development of business requirements and user experience. You will also be the Scrum Master for a Mobile Agile squad.What will you do?As Technical Project ManagerApply hands-on technical project management for all phases of the software development lifecycle, across different technology platforms internal and external to RBC, enabling successful feature-completion & launch.Build and manage relationships with all project stakeholders both internal and external to your project. This will include internal and external clients, senior management, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to demonstrate expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.Help to identify and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them.Create an environment that enables peak performance by team members, maintaining and growing our team culture.Communicate effectively with regards to backend infrastructure and other technology teams, leveraging the team’s expertiseDrive and participate in recommending an appropriate action plan with your working understanding of the technical solutionLeverage risk and change management skills on projects - plan day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.Deliver and own project outcomes that are aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives.As Scrum MasterCoordinate and run sprint events as per scrum best practicesMonitor and improve the scrum process and project progress; helping solve impediments in the development process.Coach the scrum team to apply appropriate processes to create successful products, enable them to take charge and ownership of the squad’s deliverablesFoster self-organized and collaborative scrum team; sheltering the team from outside distractions to keep focus mainly on the agreed sprint goals.Ensure scrum principles and approaches are understood correctly by the development team and stakeholders; maximizing the performance of the team.What do you need to succeed?Must Have Skills:7+ years of tech industry experience and/or project management experience of client facing productsExperience in Iterative Delivery and/or Agile, working with multiple partners, internal and external technology vendors as applicable, potentially in different time zonesCommunication, organization, management and people skills - be able to communicate and present clearly to senior management and executives, as well as your project teamSuccessfully manage a team of 15 or more people in a matrixed environmentExperience managing several technical projects simultaneouslyWorking understanding of technical solution architecture from a product delivery perspectivePrior experience or education in software development or an equivalent technical backgroundAbility to get into the details & problem solve, with the restraint & judgment to know when not to do soThrives in ambiguity, both situational and proceduralNice to Have Skills:Previous experience in banking or financial services in a Sr PM capacityPrevious experience at a startup or running your own companyPrior experience or education in software development or an equivalent technical backgroundPMP certificationScrum Master CertificationWhat’s in it for you?Be part of a fun, collaborative and caring team of passionate, talented and dedicated people.
