Early Childhood Education Assistant

• Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour
• Location: Gold River, B.C.
• Job type: Permanent | Full-time

• Assist in preparing developmentally appropriate activities
• Support the preparation of nutritious snacks and meals
• Help with personal hygiene routines for children of all ages
• Sanitize toys and learning materials regularly
• Communicate with families and assist in addressing questions or concerns
• Document observations and complete reports as required
• Collaborate with the daycare team to enhance programming
• Build and maintain professional relationships with parents and caregivers
• Ensure adherence to all daycare policies and guidelines
• Support children with special needs with patience and compassion

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• Holds a valid Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) Certificate recognized by the Province of B.C.
• Has a valid Standard First Aid or Child Safe Certificate
• Has experience working with young children in a licensed care setting (preferred)
• Has experience in a First Nations community or setting (an asset)
• Demonstrates a nurturing attitude and genuine love for children
• Respects cultural teachings and is open to learning Indigenous ways of knowing
• Works well in a collaborative team environment
• Communicates effectively and professionally
• Is dependable, punctual, and committed to professional growth
