We are seeking a skilled CNC Turret Operator to join our team in Richmondhill. The operator will set up and run Amada machinery to punch materials for IT cabinets, racks, related products, and custom metal parts. The ideal candidate has strong experience in light gauge precision metal fabrication and can consistently work to extremely close tolerances.Hours & Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $22–$28 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC turret punch presses and other production equipment, or assist colleagues as needed.
  • Select appropriate punches based on material type and thickness.
  • Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters to optimize performance.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and undamaged.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and quality regulations.
  • Focus on detail and accuracy to meet mechanical drawing specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items (up to 60 lbs) or use hoists for heavier loads.
  • Uphold all R.F. Mote standards related to job responsibilities.
  • Consistently produce high-quality products that meet required tolerances.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience operating CNC turret punch presses, specifically Amada.
  • Proven ability to work to close tolerances.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of additional metal fabrication processes (e.g., shearing, hardware insertion) is a plus.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools (Vernier calipers, protractors, tape measures).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Solid understanding of light gauge metal fabrication techniques and equipment.
  • Previous experience with shearing operations preferred.
