Job DescriptionOur client, a reputable and well-established business in Bedford, is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their small and collaborative team.In this part-time role, you will work approximately 3 hours per week in-office (one day per week) while managing the company’s bookkeeping functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys autonomy, takes initiative, and can be relied on to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow
  • Process accounts payable and issue cheques
  • Prepare and process payroll for a small group of employees
  • Oversee accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Coordinate corporate tax return preparation as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience and autonomy in a similar bookkeeping role
  • Experience with Sage 50 and/or PayWorks is a definite asset
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and discretion with financial information
  • Organized and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Comfortable in a quiet, small-office environment (typically just one other person present)
