They ensure our services solve important and urgent market problems.Ready to build the backbone of an enterprise data ecosystem? Global Relay requires an experienced Technical Product Manager (“TPM”) to join the Reporting Product Management team. You'll assume product ownership of our core data platform and lead building out platform capabilities that will help other teams innovate faster. You won't just oversee a data pipeline; you'll be shaping the shared services and common components that enable other teams across Global Relay to ingest, organize, and surface insights to our customers with unprecedented speed. Working closely with your agile team and alongside a peer group of TPMs, you'll tackle large-scale data challenges while ensuring this backbone is flexible enough to serve as a next generation launchpad for company-wide analytics and reporting.Your responsibilities:Working in a dynamic team environment, as the TPM you are responsible for:
  • Owning the up and down responsibility for the delivery of your components/features for Reporting
  • Serving as primary product expert for the components for which you are responsible for
  • Collaborating with senior product management, sales, support, clients, and other TPMs to produce and manage your components' backlog and contribute to the product roadmap
  • Lead the strategic development of new features and enhancements with ownership and development of a product roadmap
  • Understanding the design, business logic, and technical architecture of your platform components and how those components interact with the rest of the platform
  • Translating product roadmap initiatives and feature requests into requirements, models, workflow diagrams, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other suitable artifacts
  • Identifying and coordinating cross-component dependencies throughout the development process
  • Working with Product & Program Management, Development, Architecture and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure product initiatives are within schedule
  • Supporting Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Provisioning, Professional Services, Technical Documentation, Training, and Technical Support throughout the release process with training, documentation, announcements, and other release activities
  • Prioritizing and refining your team backlog
  • Attending regular sync ups with your product manager and other TPMs in your product team
  • Leading sprint planning for your Agile team(s)
  • Attending/leading daily stand-ups, grooming, demos, retrospectives and other team meetings with your Agile team(s)
About you:
  • 3-5 years of product leadership experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
  • You've owned complex, data-heavy products at scale from concept to launch
  • A deep understanding of the data lifecycle, specifically in ETL, high-scale integrations, and data processing for enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Experience driving cross-team initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, domain modelling, use case modeling, workflow design, and documentation skills
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
Nice to have's:
  • A technical foundation, having begun your career in Engineering, Data Architecture, or a similar technical role before transitioning into Product
  • Experience with Data, Reporting and Business Intelligence products and services
  • Experience with reporting, analytics and large-scale data concepts
  • Experience implementing and overseeing APIs
  • Experience with large-scale performance and system scalability
Compensation:Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia's pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values.
