Job DescriptionWe’re seeking a driven and passionate Senior Accountant to join our growing team based in Charlottetown, PEI. As the successful candidate, you will assume a pivotal role providing invaluable support to the Controller while spearheading a wide array of financial initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple provinces/branches.If you’re looking for an innovative opportunity that presents both challenge and growth within a supportive and cohesive team environment, this is the role for you!Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Full cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll & month/year-end processes)
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Financial reporting
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Internal controls and process improvement
  • Financial analysis
  • Other duties and related projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • CPA designation in progress or completed would be considered an asset, but is not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3 years+ progressive, full cycle accounting experience
  • High level proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems. Specific experience with Sage is a definite asset
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, interpret results, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Uphold a high level of integrity and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information
