Central Pharmacy Services is a division of Loblaw/Shoppers Drug Mart that centrally fills prescriptions for patients and provides other prescription processing services. By streamlining these crucial functions, we enable Pharmacists and their teams at Shoppers Drug Mart locations to focus on what is important – the patient! Well-known and convenient, with an extensive store network servicing the needs of Canadians.We are a Canadian success story of 50 years, created by recognizing needs, building relationships and focusing on doing what’s needed for our patients and customers.And right now, that means providing more ways to care through our pharmacy services.We are hiring a Pharmacist, Central Pharmacy Services.The hours are Sunday to Thursday 2 PM to 10 PM with requirements to work some statutory holidays and coverage for other shifts when needed.Location: Bay 116, 10725 25 Street NE Calgary, AB, T3N 0A4What You'll Do:
  • Conduct product verification on CPAKs and vials prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery
  • Manage facility in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
  • Work with various forms of automation, such as Count Assist, Parata max, VBM robots
  • Perform Quality Assurance to meet business needs
  • Inventory management of narcotics, controlled, and targeted medications
  • Assist in store communication via email/fax/phone
  • Perform clinical duties with the Patient Contact Centre
What You'll Need:
  • A minimum of 1-2 year of continuous work experience as a pharmacist in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital or Retail)
  • Pharmacist registration in good standing with Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
  • Experience with high volume filling environments an asset
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Must be able to complete work with minimum supervision
