- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Install, alter, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and adhere to industry standards during installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify and implement solutions for electrical system improvements and modifications.
- A valid certificate of qualification issued by the appropriate province of federal authority is required
- Fabrication knowledge relevant to Oil & Gas equipment required
- Must pass pre-employment Alcohol & Drug Test
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive mindset geared toward safety
- Basic Welding experience would be an asset
- Heat Trace experience would be an asset
- Must have experience with Rigid Conduit to appl
