About the role: We are seeking a warm, energetic, and responsible Chaperone to join our production team for an exciting film and television project shooting on a location approximately 30 minutes west of Calgary. This is a hands-on, mostly outdoor role that plays a vital part in creating a safe, positive, and fun environment for the children in our production. Responsibilities: -Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of child participants on set at all times -Provide emotional support and act as a trusted, caring presence for children throughout the shoot -Keep children engaged and entertained with activities during downtime and between takes -Ensure all child labour regulations and working hour requirements are strictly followed -Liaise with parents, guardians, and the production team as needed -Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced production environment with a positive attitude What to expect: -This is primarily an outdoor role; the majority of your time will be spent outside in all weather conditions -Long shooting days could be expected; flexibility and stamina are a must. -Filming takes place approximately 30 minutes west of Calgary, so having your own transportation is crucial. -Meals will be provided. -Gas allowance will be provided. -Dates: Approximately mid-June through the end of July -Schedule: Primarily daytime hours, with the possibility of some evenings. Shooting can take place any day of the week. -Contract type: Seasonal contract What we're looking for: -Experience working with children in a professional capacity (nanny, childcare worker, educator, camp counsellor, etc.) -Caring, patient, creative, and highly organized -Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions -Reliable, punctual, and adaptable -Police Check -Experience managing minor behavioural challenges in children is an asset -Valid first aid certification is an asset -Previous on-set or film/television production experience is a strong asset Compensation -We are committed to offering competitive rates that reflect your background and qualifications.
