- Represent the regulatory authority for the approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements and continued safety for the Bombardier products
- Work with and support the Airworthiness team to provide key leadership for the continued safety, certification, and airworthiness
- Organize and lead the logistics of internal/external certification activity
- Provide guidance and coordinate closure of Authority papers “IP, CM, CRI, CAI”
- Liaise and coordinate activities with certifying government authorities and provide regulatory and strategic guidance to other Bombardier disciplines.
- Collect and disposition Lessons Learned with Knowledge Domains for implementation on New Product Development projects
- Lead and coordinate solution development for complex certification related problems leveraging transformation and Bombardier Engineering System (BES)
- Perform rough order of magnitude (RoM) business cases and statements of work for technical studies and aircraft studies having multi-disciplinary inputs
- Support Strat Tech team providing guidance regarding certification
- Support technical specialist development of Means of Compliance (MoC) including new or novel regulatory interpretations
- Prepare/support company inputs to Notice of Proposed Amendment (NPA's)
- Technical guidance to Programs, Contracts, Customer Support and Corrective Action Review Board (CARB)
- Support the Safety team to execute A/C Level Safety, Reliability and Security processes
- Multi-disciplinary alignment for Triage, Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) issues when necessary
- Work with Bombardier Management on Program Change Request (PCR) process, cycle times, optimized solutions
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have 8 - 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry and preferably experience in Airworthiness.
- You have Aircraft Airworthiness/Certification experience dealing with government authorities and certification regulations.
- You possess developed competencies related to Project engineering and have a good understanding of aircraft functionality.
- You possess great relational acumen and excellent social/interpersonal skills.
- You are organized/self-motivated and bilingual (French, English) with strong verbal/written English skills.
- You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access), Internet skills, Knowledge of Documentum, and eRoom.
- You are a team player, working in a multidisciplinary team and can demonstrate good organizational skills.
- All BA behavior related to execution and people management are assimilated and demonstrated all the time.
- You demonstrate and adhere to Bombardier's fundamental values.
- You are driven by results and are creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
