Director of Cloud & Platform Engineering

- 15+ years in software engineering, with 10+ in engineering leadership roles as a people manager.
- 10+ years leading DevOps, SRE, Developer Experience, Infrastructure and/or Platform Engineering teams in a SaaS environment
- 8+ years working with cloud providers, with a primary focus on AWS
- Experience managing managers
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling cloud-native tooling and frameworks in modern cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Experience leading teams that build high-quality, user-friendly internal tools, SDKs, and/or engineering empowerment services tools, frequently used across an engineering org
- Experience directly managing or tracking projects with a variety of stakeholders (define and build plan, manage activities, risks, stakeholder communication, etc)
- Experience with cloud cost management / FinOps
- Experience with implementing and driving a DevOps culture and associated practices
- Proven success of ownership of cloud architecture & environment management
- Prior experience in mature startups or scaled engineering org (> 150)
- Prior experience working in a HIPAA compliant or other similarly regulated environment
- Responsibility for managing and delivering an amazing developer experience through the use of tools, frameworks, and processes
