- Performs repair of automation equipment, Bots, or systems by utilizing specific mechanical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and robotics skills.
- Demonstrates high level of proficiency in their area of expertise as well as taking on a lead /coordinator role as needed/directed.
- Performs a full range of servicing and repair procedures including diagnostics, inspection, operation, installation, preventative maintenance, removal, and retrofits for highly complex automation systems.
- Performs automation system triage, addresses hardware failures, and resolves system issues.
- Diagnosing problems using repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment.
- As a specialist, provides 2nd level technical support to other technicians.
- Identify repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future failures.
- Adheres to established processes and maintenance procedures to achieve the established Service Level Agreement.
- Responsible to achieve customer Key Performance Indicators per Service Level Agreement for scheduled periodic maintenance and system uptime performance.
- Documents maintenance activities utilizing clients' Maintenance Management System.
- Performs preventive maintenance on customer automation systems, ensuring safety, proper functionality, inspecting, cleaning, and repair.
- Provides Partner level direct communications and interaction
- Completes technical training on equipment as required.
- Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignments.
- Completes technical training on assigned automation systems
- Reviews all technical information about supported products, including new and updated information as it becomes available.
- Performs all safety procedures and follows established safety guidelines including lockout tag out
- Required to perform other duties related to Partner Support as assigned.
- Associate degree or 4 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience or training in the Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical fields.
- Candidate must have valid G driver's license and own vehicle
- Serves as a role model and always exhibits professional appearance and behavior, under the most difficult situations.
- Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
- Automated systems and software-based controls.
- Electrical and electronic principles.
- Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, and database administration.
- Blueprint and electrical schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
- Preventative maintenance procedures.
- Industrial PC literacy.
- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Robotics, Mechanical, or Electronics fields.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workloads.
- Ability to work independently.
- A high degree of physical dexterity.
- Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Requires excellent working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and electronics.
- Requires expert knowledge of assigned equipment.
- Skilled methodical approach to problem resolution.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills to include feedback ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Skilled ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of service manuals, parts catalogs, and technical publications.
- Typically works in a warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise.
- Physical requirements: Must be comfortable working occasionally in limited space areas. Physically dexterity, able to be agile. Working in areas with robotic corridors and narrow walkways.
- Variable shifts may be required to meet Partners' needs as encountered/defined, and overtime may be required.
- Requires regular use of various hand and power tools.
- May be required to move objects on wheels up to 400 pounds and be able to lift and carry objects that weigh up to 50 pounds. Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level, on racks, or above shoulder height using a ladder.
- Overnight Travel may be required to attend, or in some cases provide, training for vendor-specific equipment and devices.
