- Contributing to a positive team environment and safety by communicating clearly and proactively.
- Participating in all facets of environmental or contaminated site projects including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation and reclamation programs, and long-term environmental monitoring of sites.
- Participating in fieldwork programs involving sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, and surface water, as well as decommissioning and remediation programs, and remediation system operation and maintenance.
- Assisting with the preparation of a variety of technical reports.
- Supporting project managers with project planning and coordination, reporting, and tracking schedules and budget.
- Assisting with technical and financial proposal preparation.

- Minimum of a degree or a technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or related studies.
- 0-5 years of experience in contaminated site work including leading and supporting environmental site assessments (Phase I, II, and III ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation and reclamation programs.
- Knowledge and practical application of health & safety requirements unique to oil and gas facilities, construction sites, subsurface investigations, and contaminated sites. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Able to work independently, in small teams, and within larger multidisciplinary teams, including ability to work in remote locations and adapt to conditions/resources.
- Passion for fieldwork and available to work away from home occasionally for up to 2 weeks at a time. Occasionally, extended hours may be required during field programs.
- Basic knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas processes. Experience in upstream oil and gas assessment, remediation and reclamation would be considered an asset but is not required.
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., E.I.T., G.I.T., C.Tech., P.Tech, C.E.T., etc.) would be an asset.
- Valid driver’s license for travel to job sites/clients.
