- Proactively plan, manage, and direct live in-arena production for all Moncton Wildcats home games.
- Collaborate with and manage game-day personnel, such as the ice team, announcer, mascot, and musical talent.
- Responsible for all game entertainment, including but not limited to game scripting, in-arena promotions, LED/video selection, special presentations/ceremonies, live entertainment, and talent bookings.
- Work in conjunction with sponsorships, ticketing, arena operations, retail, hospitality, public/media relations, and broadcast to ensure all contractual elements are delivered in-house and conform to company excellence standards.
- Implement strategic plan for Game Entertainment.
- Work with print, league, and radio partners regarding game operations and events.
- Plan, manage and direct special event initiatives of the Moncton Wildcats.
- Create new and innovative ideas and concepts regarding game entertainment.
- Liaise with the building operations and AV staff on technical project regarding systems used for event presentation (i.e., LED, video, audio, lightning).
- Manage and approve hours of part-time event staff.
- Plan and manage game day and non-game day rehearsals, theme nights, and game-to-game elements such as crowd prompt initiatives.
- Main point of contact for Off Ice Officials and ensuring they have the equipment and tools they need on a nightly basis.
- Plan, manage and direct all special events involving the Moncton Wildcats and report on results
- Proactively plan, manage and direct any community event or programming initiatives of the Moncton Wildcats and report on results
- Two to five years’ experience in live event direction or production, event planning or equivalent work experience.
- Formal post-secondary credentials in hospitality, entertainment, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Independent, creative problem-solver.
- Highly organized, motivated, and responsible with good time and project management abilities.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid team player with superior organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingualism would be considered an asset.
- Interest in and knowledge of hockey.
- Able to work flexible and long hours, including evenings and weekends, as and when required.
