This HR Business Partner will focus on providing guidance to managers and employees on HR issues, ensuring policy and legislative compliance, supporting employee relations and performance management, assisting with compensation and reporting, delivering training, managing offboarding processes, and supporting HR projects and employee engagement initiatives.About The Position
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on a variety of HR matters including employee relations, workplace communication, attendance, progressive discipline, and performance management.
- Support the annual performance review cycle, including coordinating timelines, assisting with goal setting, and providing training to managers and staff.
- Monitor changes to employment legislation and ensure internal HR policies and practices remain compliant; assist with interpreting policies and regulatory requirements when needed.
- Assist with employee relations matters by helping investigate concerns, documenting issues, and supporting the development of appropriate resolutions and action plans.
- Partner with internal teams to produce regular and ad-hoc HR reports and analyze people metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Support annual compensation planning processes, including salary and bonus reviews, budgeting support, and related reporting.
- Identify learning and development needs and assist in designing and delivering training programs for employees and leaders.
- Coordinate offboarding activities such as exit interviews, documentation, and trend tracking related to employee departures.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives by helping organize HR-related programs and events that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Participate in HR initiatives and projects, including process improvements, research, and development of business cases to enhance HR services.
- Provide general support across the HR team and assist with administrative or operational tasks as required.
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources at a Generalist level or above.
- Prior experience in the legal industry is required.
- CPHR designation is a preference.
- Experience guiding and coaching senior leadership on HR related challenges and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of reporting platforms.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing priorities is required.
- Adapt in problem solving, research and influencing decisions.
- Must be able to make decisions and work with discretion and confidentiality.
- Annual salary range $80,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.
