- Job Description
- Manage municipal water and wastewater projects from planning and design through construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with technical experts in our multidisciplinary Water group, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural professionals.
- Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, quality control, and risk assessments to meet client expectations.
- Contribute to and review engineering studies, environmental assessments, technical reports, calculations, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Support the pursuit of new projects by assisting with technical scopes, workplans, schedules, and task-level budgeting.
- Engage with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, utility agencies, and contractors to ensure effective project execution.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the project team.
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or related field. Advanced degrees are considered an asset.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Certified Technician (C.Tech), or an equivalent related professional designation.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater projects, with a focus on project coordination or management in Ontario (especially Kitchener, GTA, or Southwestern Ontario).
- Strong technical understanding of water/wastewater treatment design and processes, including hydraulics and unit operations.
- Experience in managing small to mid-sized engineering projects in a consulting environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
