We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Order Picker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hardware distribution warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the Order Picker forklift, to efficiently move materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and a commitment to safety and accuracy.The ideal candidate must be comfortable working afternoons, as this is an afternoon shift position.Job Type: Temporary to PermanentLocation: Scarborough, ONPay Rate: $21.45/hourHours: Afternoon Shift, 3:30pm to 11:45pm, Monday to FridayWhat You'll Do:
  • Operate Order Picker forklift to transport goods within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
  • Perform order picking tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution operations.
  • Proficiency and valid license on the Order Picker.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and order accuracy.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
