Our client is a professional services global product engineering firm with HQ in Canada and they are seeking a Software Development Manager (E-Commerce Manager) who can be onsite at their client’s site in Texas. Our client delivers operationally efficient platforms that resonate with the modern consumer. They specialize in building customized business apps that allow organizations and enterprises to improve their efficiency, collaboration and user experience.What you will be doing:Work with Senior Management to build a long-term road map of the engineering team.Help the development team with day-to-day activities and projects, solve challenges, build and improve standards, and help the organization to adhere to the best development practicesSkilled at managing projects related to e-commerce application design, coding, deployment and maintenance of applications across multiple platformsAbility to Mentor development team members in adopting best practices in the software development lifecycleAbility to review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plansAct as a coach for the technical teams by providing direction, functional and technical training, and technical expertise.Work side by side with Architects to introduce modern software development practices for the entire software development lifecycle and help introduce these to the organization.Give architectural recommendations, and design major components of the architecture, including APIs, user interface, and middleware.Advocate, document, and enforce best engineering practices, design and implementation principles, and coding standards; drive high quality in all phases of software development.Work with customers and collect requirements, define and communicate technical requirements, architecture, and design.What you must have:Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experienceOver 5 years in a leadership capacity10+ years of experience in Software Development, Design, and Testing3-5 years of combined experience architecting, designing, and implementing multi-tiered software applicationsMust have experience in Managing e-commerce projects. 2+ years of experience working on medium/large e-commerce implementationsShould have at least been part of 1 or more end-to-end e-commerce implementationsPrevious experience in programming languages such as Java .NET, .NET Core, Angular/ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.Experience in taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customersExperience working on complex business problems and providing technical solutions that are effective, creative, and efficient.Deep experience in agile software development life cycle, practices, and tools (coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, QA)Ability to coach team members in technical skills and provide advice and assistance on project management, time management, coding, and testingAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environmentStrong experience in MS Azure or AWSGood knowledge of relational data models, SQL, and RDBMS (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailsSalary/Rate Range: $60.00 -$70.00 / hourFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
