Applicants are encouraged to self-identify.What Youโll DoAs the Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical, civil, and electronic system projects for the North Warning System (NWS). Your expertise will ensure these projects, ranging from overhauls to decommissioning, are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and development of project tendering and proposal documents.
- Well organized, solid written and verbal communications, full working knowledge of MS Office Software applications, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent oral/written communications with the ability to present and explain technical information to both life cycle and engineering teams.
- Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Ability to work and contribute well independently and within a team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills with customer service orientation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Post-secondary education in finance, business management, project management, or engineering.
- Certification: PMP or equivalent designation (an asset).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Familiarity with delivering projects to the Government of Canada is preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of project management principles and tender/proposal development.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Supervisory or leadership training.
- Engineering design and management experience.
