- Management and oversight of Doane Grant Thornton’s formal and informal proposal and presentation submissions in response to RFQs, RFIs, VORs, and RFPs.
- Responsible for the end-to-end proposal delivery process, including evaluation, project kick-off and management, research, initial response, refinement, and final proposal submission.
- Lead the national proposal team, including managing colleagues across various specialties, levels of seniority, and locations to deliver responses tailored to the client/prospect requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop effective, persuasive proposals that highlight key advantages and reflect the team's strategy and value proposition.
- Ensure all public sector and procurement responses are accurate, compliant, and ready.
- Apply and steward Doane Grant Thornton’s brand voice, style, and messaging across all proposals.
- Research and gather information to strengthen responses, demonstrate sector expertise, and add value.
- Develop and manage detailed proposal timelines, including status calls, document review cycles, peer review, pricing calls, and more.
- Stay informed of firm marketing initiatives, particularly major announcements, content themes, and events.
- Bring forward new ideas for content, structure, and visual design, leveraging strong writing skills and a sharp eye for presentation quality.
- Manage and update the Proposal SharePoint site, ensuring proposal assets, scorecards, boilerplate language, guides, and tools remain current and accessible.
- Conduct post-submission debriefs to assess outcomes, capture lessons learned and identify opportunities.
- Track and report on key metrics, including scorecard submissions, proposals produced, win rate and hub access/engagement.

- University degree in English, communications, marketing, or relevant business experience in lieu.
- 10 years’ experience managing proposal pursuits of all sizes and complexity, including the public sector.
- Exceptional writing skills with a meticulous eye for accuracy, grammar, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Capacity to distill the value of Doane Grant Thornton into succinctly written responses.
- Managerial skills to lead the proposal team and process with stakeholders.
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, adhering to strict deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- High degree of flexibility to accommodate changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint.
- Dynamics (CRM) experience considered an asset.
