- Reviewing mortgage applications and supporting documentation in detail
- Structuring deals and identifying the best lender options (A, B, and private)
- Submitting files through platforms such as Filogix. Scarlett and FINMO
- Working closely with brokers, lenders, lawyers, and the internal fulfillment team
- Managing files from submission through to funding with a strong sense of ownership
- Keeping deals moving forward in a fast-paced environment
- Supporting junior team members when needed
- This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment - files move quickly
- You’ll be working closely with brokers who rely on you to help structure and move deals forward
- You’ll be working with a wide range of personalities and working styles, often under tight timelines. This role requires patience, professionalism, and the ability to navigate different communication styles while keeping deals moving forward
- While the role offers flexibility (remote / hybrid / in-office), accountability and responsiveness are key
- Occasional after-hours communication may be required to keep deals progressing
- 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience (brokerage or lender side)
- Strong deal structuring skills across a range of file types
- Ability to manage multiple files and shifting priorities
- High attention to detail - you catch things others might miss
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, team-based environment
- Experience with Filogix, Scarlett, FINMO, CRMs, and Google Suite is preferred
- FSRA licensing is considered an asset
