The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical engineering, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, with a customer centric focus on custom performance solutions for Hyperscale and Large Colocation Data Center clients.How you will do itLead and mentor a growing team of eight electrical professionals including Drafters, Designers, and Engineers.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, strategic planning, team building, and professional development.Oversee the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects across North America, including managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NBC, UL1995, UL60335-2-40, UL62368-1, UL2755, UL508A) and practice Safety in Design.Provide technical guidance, resolve complex engineering challenges, and take professional responsibility for your team’s product and performance designs.Collaborate cross-functionally with Clients, Account Leads, Project Managers, Mechanical, Structural, Controls, and Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, Operations, Quality, and Service teams.Drive innovation in product design and system integration for Silent-Aire solutions including AHUs, MDCs, CDUs, and Chiller Pump Skids.Translate client and consultant input—whether complete or limited—into effective and innovative product solutions.Support business development with technical input and feasibility assessments.Prepare and present technical proposals, reports, and findings to internal and external stakeholders.Participate in and lead engineering initiatives such as DFMEA, Gemba walks, Tiger Team efforts, and issue resolution.Develop and enhance engineering department processes, policies, and standards.What we look forRequired:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacityDemonstrated success in managing engineering teams and delivering complex, high-impact projectsProficient in electrical design tools, simulation software, and industry standardsProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) designation preferred or eligibility to obtainExperience in electrical panel and wire harness designStrong background in power distribution and equipment power systemsExceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilitiesProven strategic planning, team development, and mentorship capabilitiesPreferred:Experience in data center technologies and infrastructureFamiliarity with project management methodologies (Agile, PMP certification is a plus)Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting prioritiesEnergy, creativity, strong communication, design knowledge, time, project, and resource management, and a positive attitude#LI-Onsite#LI-JJ1HIRING SALARY RANGE: $118,000 - 158,000 CAD (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
