- Execute lubrication Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on rotating equipment in the field.
- Follow defined routes and Work Orders (WOs) for lubrication tasks, meticulously recording findings.
- Implement the Lubrication program and strategy to enhance equipment reliability.
- Actively participate in team Work Improvement Goals (WIGs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Provide valuable input in developing effective lubrication-related procedures and standards.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and collaborate with operations for necessary cleaning before introducing new oil (contamination control).
- Housekeeping: Support site housekeeping efforts in partnership with Operations and Maintenance to maximize contamination control.
- Attend daily Maintenance meetings and discussions, contributing as a valuable member of the team. Keep the respective value stream informed about lubrication matters and offer insights into work prioritization.
- Create work orders to address observed defects, report equipment leaks, and signal potential impending failures or malfunctions.
- Utilize handheld devices for PM execution and to gather condition monitoring information when required.
- Ensure competence by staying current with training requirements and obtaining internal certifications (5 CBTs).
- Maintain and organize lubrication tools appropriately.
- Oversee area lubrication inventory and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Keep lube shacks clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations aimed at improving equipment life and reliability.
- Minimize contamination during the storage, handling, and dispensing of lubricants.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate defects and reduce waste.
- Ensure proper tagging of lube points in the field.
- Implement lubrication best practices in the field.
- Contribute to improvement projects as defined by the team Supervisor.
- Act as the first line of defense for equipment contamination control and demonstrate an ability to work safely around rotating equipment.
- Able to work around rotating equipment and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Millwright Journeyperson Certificate (Ideal)
- Minimum Grade 12 with a Mechanical Trade Certificate or Mechanical Aptitudes
- Passion for Lubrication and Equipment Reliability
- Computer Proficiency: Working knowledge of computer-based software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases.
- Independence: Ability to work independently, self-driven, and self-starter.
- Equipment Knowledge: Good understanding of rotating equipment components such as gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, bearings, pulleys, and compressors.
- Oil Analysis and Contamination Control: Proficiency in oil analysis and contamination control related to equipment life extension.
- Lubrication Competency: Lubrication competency will be assessed by the Lubrication Supervisor.
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
- Basic Rigging Certification
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
- Valid Government Issued Identification
