This is a remote position within Canada.About The Role
We’re looking for an Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic Cloud Accounting practice. Reporting to the Practice Lead, in this role you will be focused on enabling our clients to digitize their finance operations through the adoption of a range of web-based accounting systems and tools. In addition, as an expert accountant, you’ll play a key role in onboarding new clients, ensuring their ledgers are organized, up to date, and properly integrated into our technology stack. You’ll function as a trainer, trusted advisor, and in-house bookkeeping expert to our clients, using cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional service.Our Ideal Candidate
A super tech savvy accountant who can take complete ownership of the full accounting cycle for a range of clients, and communicate and collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and executives. You’re a go-getter who thrives in finding solutions to challenges, especially in unconventional situations. You’re technically strong in QBO, Dext and Plooto, and you have exposure to a variety of other accounting systems such as payroll, inventory management, CRM etc. Above all, you share our passion for bringing value to clients, enabling leadership teams to make better business decisions by combining, integrating, and implementing modern cloud technology designed around their business.What You’ll Do

  • Guiding clients through some of the change management components in transitioning to cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Supporting onboarding efforts such as restructuring charts of accounts, database catchup/clean ups, and configuring systems and software features to suit client-specific accounting needs.
  • Managing the full-cycle bookkeeping function for clients, working closely with them to prioritize your work to meet their business needs.
  • Developing an understanding of clients’ financial workflows and processes to effectively align and improve with new processes and the implementation of technologies.
  • Documenting migration processes, outlining the client journey, and contributing to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Providing follow-up training sessions with clients and team members as needed.
  • Applying a deep understanding of QuickBooks settings and interpreting various systems integration layers which will affect the accounting within QBO.
  • Solving accounting puzzles by researching and reconciling discrepancies and ensuring that the accounting is in good order.
  • Competently using software such as Dext, Plooto, Xero and Excel.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years’ hands-on accounting experience, including AP/R, invoicing, reconciliations, financial statement preparation and payroll.
  • College Diploma in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-based accounting packages, and the ability to learn new ones.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent client service skills, with the aptitude and curiosity for understanding clients' operations and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and high ethical standards.
  • Enthusiasm for what you do and the desire to help organizations be more efficient.
