The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments.Plains has a job opportunity for a Pipeline Technician to work out of our Regina field office. The successful candidate will provide support to operations, maintenance, and projects in addition to ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures.Our Ideal Candidate Is:
  • Flexible and willing to work within pipeline/truck terminal operations and provide project support;
  • Able to perform minor maintenance duties with pumps and piping, demonstrating mechanical aptitude;
  • Able to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision;
  • Able to conduct daily duties that consist of pipeline pigging, sampling, trucker audits, housekeeping, etc.; and
  • Self-motivated and energetic with effective written/verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Must reside within a 100 km radius of the Plains Regina field office;
  • Minimum Grade 12 education;
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Experience with Maximo is a nice-to-have or similar CMMS system
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment screening.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s history
  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday days – on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days; every other Friday is a day off).
  • On Call rotation every third week is expected – rotated amongst three operators.
  • This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the Canada for the duration of their employment.
