Job Category: OperationsResponsibilities:Takes appropriate care to Howmet's tools and equipment.Consults the router to certify the piece. Checks the instructions to locate the required repairs.Adjusts the welding equipment for the type of repairs required (location and thickness) and performs a high-quality weld following the proper welding technique.Follows all the necessary safety measures in performing the work and informs co-workers of any safety precautions.Performs pre and post weld blend and preparation operations on castings using hand and bench mounted tools as required.Ensures that all the required documents of the router have been stamped and signed when the welding repairs have been completed.Performs other duties as required.Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.Qualifications:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to handle hoistsVisual dexterityManual dexterityAbility to use measuring instrumentsUses sound judgmentProfessional High School Diploma with welding certificate or High School Certificate with 5 years of Aluminum TIG welding experience.
