- University Degree or College Diploma in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Community Relations or related field
- Two years of experience in corporate communications and media relations
- Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change, ambiguity, complexity and continuously changing priorities
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels (health service organizations, patients and families, community members, elected representatives, etc.).
- Ability to deal positively with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, fostering cooperative and collaborative working relationships
- Strong understanding of social media best practices and trends with a proficiency in social media strategies and platform management
- Manage the BAOHT's presence on social media platforms, including content planning, creation and engagement
- Maintain and update the BAOHT website with timely, relevant and accessible information
- Manage the BAOHT general inbox and website inquiries
- Represent the BAOHT at community events such as farmers markets and wellness fairs
- Develop materials to promote awareness of local health services and initiatives
- Collect and report on community feedback to inform future engagement efforts
- Collaborate with health and community partners to promote access to care during periods of surge
- Promote provincial programs such as Health Care Connect, Health 811, and supports for unattached patients
- Develop and distribute resources for unattached patients to support navigation and access
- Build relationships with equity-deserving communities to support inclusive attachment planning
- Identify opportunities to strengthen communication pathways between patients and primary care
- Produce the monthly BAOHT Partner Bulletin, including content coordination and distribution
- Support the planning and execution of partner-led events and initiatives
- Assist in the development of tools and materials to foster collaboration across BAOHT partners
- Represent the BAOHT at partner events to increase awareness of the BAOHT
- Provide backup support for the BAOHT Administrative Coordinator, including scheduling and meeting logistics
- Support new partner onboarding processes and information sharing
- Assist with the coordination and documentation needs of the Lived Experience Partner (LEP) Council
- Contribute to the coordination of health services during First Nation evacuations and emergencies
