- Perform sampling and quality control testing to support compliance with product specifications, internal quality requirements, and customer expectations.
- Provide accurate and timely test results, observations, and quality information to quality control and operational teams.
- Support routine field and laboratory quality control activities across assigned sites with a good degree of independence.
- Help identify abnormal, inconsistent, or non-conforming results and escalate concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate quality records, traceability, and data entry within applicable systems and documentation practices.
- Support customer-related quality activities, including sampling, follow-up, and routine investigation support as assigned.
- Assist with laboratory readiness through equipment checks, organization, housekeeping, and support for routine maintenance and calibration activities.
- Support the training and day-to-day guidance of junior team members in routine laboratory and sampling activities, where applicable
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
- Education: College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering Technology, Geological Technology, or related field.
- Required Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in aggregate quality control, construction materials testing, laboratory testing, or a related industrial environment.
- Required Training/Certifications: Valid G-class driver's license; CCIL certification in Aggregates, or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
- Required Technical Skills: Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office), data entry and record management, and familiarity with aggregate laboratory testing equipment and procedures
- Working knowledge of aggregate sampling and laboratory testing practices.
- Basic understanding of applicable specifications and standards, including OPSS and CSA.
- Ability to interpret routine test results and identify potential quality concerns.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in routine activities and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in laboratory, plant, quarry, and outdoor environments
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
