As a leader in Municipal Planning, you will shape the future of communities across Ontario-whether rural, urban, growing, or transforming. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, collaborate with clients, and deliver planning solutions that support sustainable, resilient, and thriving places.Your Impact
- Lead and manage complex municipal policy planning projects, providing expert guidance to clients and project teams.
- Oversee a wide range of studies, including official plan reviews, secondary plans, zoning by-law reviews, growth management, and community revitalization initiatives.
- Direct large, multi-disciplinary teams-transportation planners, engineers, ecologists, and other specialists-to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes.
- Coordinate planning projects with municipal partners and ensure alignment with provincial policies, legislation, and best practices.
- Lead and facilitate public and stakeholder engagement processes of all scales.
- Oversee research, analysis, and presentation of planning data to support strategic decisions.
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of WSP's Municipal Planning practice across Ontario.
- University degree in Planning, plus designation as a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in Ontario.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal or consulting environments, with deep knowledge of Ontario's planning systems.
- Expertise in public consultation, multi-disciplinary project management, and collaboration with approval authorities.
- Strong analytical abilities-skilled in organizing, interpreting, and communicating planning information.
- Ability to lead preparation of technical plans such as subdivisions, site plans, condominium plans, and building elevations.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License.
