- Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of Distribution projects. Oversee the method of construction, manpower, equipment and material needed and quality control
- Plans daily activities, conduct tailboards, ensuring workers confirm fit for duty, and conduct tailboard for any work deviation
- Direct and participate in day-to-day work activities as a working Foreman to ensure that established goals and objectives are met
- Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices
- Report on problems and the solutions to the Area Supervisor
- Enforce and ensure compliance to Health & Safety and wok practices
- Enforce equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required
- Manage crew concerns and issues and elevate when required
- Identifies and makes recommendations for improvement of work methods to the leadership team at the construction site
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects and other operational tasks as required
- Journeyman Powerline Technician Trade Certificate, is required
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the powerline trade, is required
- Class 5 Driver's License, is required. Class 1 or Class 3 preferred
- Previous leadership experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman, an asset
- English proficiency with the ability to read, comprehend, and execute written work plans, blueprints, and writing schematics
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to direct a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines
- Flexible with hours worked, travel, and working in adverse weather conditions
- Able and willing to accommodate frequent overtime hours and weekend hours when required
- Able and willing to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments inclusive of heavy lifting
- Able and willing to provide an acceptable five (5) year Driver's Abstract
