Your Opportunity:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, multi-modality environment. The LPN monitors, plans, implements and evaluates care of patients/clients and works in consultation with Physicians, RN, Technologists and others to meet the needs of more complex patients/clients. The LPN works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team, to monitor the patient's conditions and care while in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. LPN's complete care within their scope of practice, in accordance with Alberta Health Services policy, the Health Professions Act and the License Practical Nurses Profession Regulation. This rotation will consist of Monday to Friday 0900-1715.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:IV Certification. Port Certification. 5 years Med/Surgical Unit experience. Preferred Qualifications:Emergency/ICU Experience preferred. Critical Care experience an asset.
