These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.The bigger pictureAs a Financial Advisor – Lending within the Member Contact Centre (Call Centre), you will be responsible for understanding the financial goals of our members and supporting their achievements through a virtual setting. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products. As part of this role, you will specialize in all things consumer lending.Our Member Contact Centre Advice team's core business hours are Monday - Friday, including evening shifts.The preferred location for this position is within Saskatoon, Regina or Prince Albert, however other Conexus locations may be considered.How you’ll be spending your timeMember Experience and Sales
  • Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning
  • Provide account and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:
  • Memberships and accounts including lines of credit
  • Complex consumer lending products including mortgages
  • Credit Cards
  • Mobile banking solutions
  • Day to day banking needs
  • Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
  • Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction
Compliance and Organizational Support
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
  • Ensure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
  • Positively represent Conexus internally and externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
  • Provide support, assistance and backup as required for team

  • 2 to 3 years of Financial Industry experience in an Advisory Capacity
  • Experience in underwriting and approving credit applications
  • Experience in a Sales position is considered an asset
  • Call centre experience is considered an asset
  • Completion of or working towards the Financial Planner and Personal Financial Services Advice designations
