
Materials - Receiving Co-op

- Focus on process optimization projects in the areas of reliability, process control, and quality improvement
- Hands on experience with Inventory Control, Inventory Counts and Inventory Audits
- Hands on experience with learning and utilizing proper Material Movement Management including receiving incoming material
- Full interaction with Organization in relation to Communication Status on Export Shipments
- Support creation of processes and centralized data management platform, both in partnership with internal departments, as well as outside partners, such as carriers and freight forwarders
- Opportunities to gain hands-on inventory management experience and to apply various data management tools (e.g. MS Excel, Access,) to solve day-to-day logistics challenges
- Work with the Materials Manager to establish relevant performance metrics to support the organization’s growth strategy
- Attend and Lead Daily GEMBA Departmental Meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly energized, results oriented problem solver
- Proficient in MS Excel, Project, Word
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong data presentation skills
- Timely Completion of tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as with others
- Ability to research and develop statistical models, predictive analysis and data visualization
- Experience with relational databases (primarily Microsoft SQL), and data warehouse methodologies/practices would be great asset but not required
- Enrolled in a 3 year or 4 year University Degree in the field of Supply Chain Management/Data Science/Computer Science/Information Technology/Business or equivalent
