Key Responsibilities:-Evaluate and enhance internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, while improving the efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
-Liaise with external auditors and accounting advisors; prepare working papers, reconciliations, lead sheets, and supporting documentation for year-end financial statement preparation.
-Oversee costing methodology, BOM validation, and variance analysis (labor, material, overhead).
-Perform inventory valuations, and periodic inventory counts in coordination with production and material teams.
-Prepare and analyze gross margin reports by product line, identifying trends, cost drivers, and areas for margin improvement.
-Maintain and improve ME reporting packages (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial data.
-Lead process improvements and system automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve data integrity across financial workflows (e.g., AP, AR, payroll integration, ERP tools).Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
-CPA designation is preferred
-3-5 years or more of experience in manufacturing industry
-Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
-Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
-Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage 100
-Advanced Excel skills - Pivot Table and VLOOKUPS
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills
