Windows Support EngineerAdecco is currently recruiting for a Windows Support Engineer for a 12-month contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. This position is hybrid 2x per week for the duration of the contract. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Level Security Clearance or be eligible for it.The Windows Support Engineer will have the following responsibilities:Provide direct support to projects and platform operations, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading our Windows server environment, both on-premises and cloudProvide ongoing level 2 technical support, maintenance, and improvement to the client's current environmentsProvide direct support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and related internal and external teamsCreate thorough and detailed documentation (SOPs) of all changes, upgrades, procedures, user/vendor interactions, and root cause analysesRecommend ways to improve performance, quality, and efficiencyOther related activities and deliverables as requiredThe Windows Support Engineer must meet the following mandatory requirements:A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience with supporting critical applications in a hybrid environmentA minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Windows Server systems, with solid abilities in administering Microsoft Group Policies and Microsoft SCCMA minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in performance and capacity monitoring for critical serversA minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated ability to develop and support Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure, etc.Demonstrated experience with the maintenance and upgrading of Windows 2008 - Windows 2019 Server EnvironmentsDemonstrated advanced understanding of Windows server supportDemonstrated knowledge of a scripting language, such as Ansible playbooks, PowerShell or PythonDemonstrated ability to create automation scripts, deploy orchestration and automation processes and productsDemonstrated ability to make technical decisions needed to support a multi-tiered large-scale highly isolated production environmentIf you are interested in applying to our Windows Support Engineer position, please submit your resume as soon as possible by clicking on the 'Apply with Adecco' button.
