The manufacturing engineer works at our emergency lighting and circuit board product manufacturing plant. The main mandate is to manage projects related to improving production processes and support the introduction of new products and technologies. The manufacturing engineer will act as a liaison between the Design and Production departments.Your responsibilities
  • Manage various operational process improvement projects.
  • Manage various projects on the production floor related to the assembly of products, introduction of new equipment, and production of new products.
  • Plan, set timelines, and follow up with the stakeholders involved.
  • Act as liaison and collaborate with the Product Design and Production departments: pilot, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), etc.
  • Participate in design changes (DFA ) and analyze proposed changes.
  • Support the production team in carrying out their daily mandate: create and update instructions and working methods, optimize work tools, manage standard times, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures, processes, laws, and standards, and integrate these concepts into the tasks and projects.

Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or electrical engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in optimizing business processes using Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Good computer knowledge (Office, AutoCAD, MRP).
  • Autonomy and sense of initiative for managing projects and priorities in accordance with the objectives set.
  • Collaborative solution-oriented approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Bilingualism essential, French and English, spoken and written.
