- Advising the Project Director on project and program performance measures
- Review of project financials – estimates, costs, invoicing, change orders, physical/financial progress, schedule, forecast – providing summary to Project Director
- Identify, develop and implement standards and programs to enhance the operational excellence while proficiently and effectively meeting operational needs
- In cooperation with Project Leadership, helps to oversee establishment of Project Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required
- Assists Project Leadership to plan and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring that current and timely change orders are completed
- Identifying trends and gaps with respect to the Quality Assurance processes
- Monitors and reports to Project Leadership on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule
- Coordinates weekly Project Controls meeting to review project status and formulate action items
- Understand current Project Control systems and procedures to implement and maintain control over technical quality of cost, schedule control and work performed
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on Project Control processes and input towards Project Control standards and procedures in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Work with our external business partners and subcontractors to establish data requirements to support standard project reporting
- Collaborate with other business units to align processes, workflows and deliverables with various work groups
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise within the Project Controls systems and tools
- Perform advanced analytics on schedule, cost, and progress and performance data across various projects as assigned
- Assist in the development and implementation of a standardized reporting tool that is being rolled out to various project teams
- Participate in the implementation and refinement of standardized reporting templates and processes
- Other projects & duties as assigned
- Minimum five (5) years of industry related project support experience ideally withing an engineering, construction or other project-based environment, is required
- Related bachelor's degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university, is required
- Proven familiarity with project controls concepts such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
- Firm understanding of project management and project controls principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Able and willing to travel to and work in remote project locations, embedded in operational work groups
- Have and maintain a valid driver license and acceptable give (5) year drivers abstract
