- Prepare and present budgets and forecasts to the management team and board, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Prepare and present financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
- Complete reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including banks and fixed asset continuity schedules.
- Calculate inventory costs and perform annual review/update.
- Calculate and process all business-related taxes, including timely payments and filings.
- Oversee and provide backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Oversee and provide backup for payroll, including source remittances, group insurance, and year-end T4 and T4 Summary preparation.
- Maintain banking relationships, including the completion of covenant reporting.
- Manage external audit process to ensure required documentation is provided and additional requests satisfied in a timely fashion to ensure an efficient audit completed on time.
- Work with insurance broker to review policies annually to ensure appropriate coverage while managing costs.
- Prepare financial models for projects as required (e.g., new customers, new products, regulation changes).
- Supervise one direct report
- Must have a CPA designation
- Manufacturing experience is a requirement for this role
- Experience in a small company wearing many hats is required
