Quality Assurance (QA) LeadPosition OverviewSRA Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in support of large-scale projects within the insurance and financial services sector. Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Lead will be accountable for end-to-end test management, planning, and oversight of all QA deliverables on assigned projects. This role will partner closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Business Stakeholders, and External Vendors to ensure best practices are followed, testing is thorough, and project delivery meets quality expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end test management to enable successful project delivery.Act as the primary QA point of contact and first line of escalation for assigned projects.Deliver accurate QA effort estimates, resourcing plans, and timelines to project leadership.Develop test strategies, test plans, and traceability matrices; lead walkthroughs with stakeholders.Collaborate with Business Analysts, SMEs, and Developers to ensure robust test data and batch cycle coverage.Create, maintain, and review test cases, scenarios, and documentation for full coverage.Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, coordinating onsite and offshore teams.Facilitate defect review/triage sessions and ensure timely resolution.Communicate QA status, risks, and progress to project teams and leadership.Support and coordinate UAT execution with business users.Validate production readiness, ensuring no adverse impact to existing systems.Represent QA in environment readiness and deployment planning sessions.Utilize and enforce standardized tools and processes ( Client Quality Center/ALM) for test management, traceability, and defect tracking.Lead continuous improvement initiatives across QA tools, methodologies, and processes.Mentor intermediate QA team members and oversee external contract testers.Ensure customer satisfaction through post-implementation review and feedback.Required Experience & Qualifications3–5 years' experience in QA Lead roles, ideally in life insurance or software vendor environments.Demonstrated expertise across mainframe, client-server, web, and mobile applications.Strong understanding of overnight batch processing and end-to-end testing dependencies.Experience working with onshore/offshore delivery models.Proficient in Client Quality Center/ALM; working knowledge of XML required.Familiarity with analysis/modeling frameworks such as RUP, UML, or similar.Solid facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and escalation judgment.Excellent documentation, reporting, and time management skills.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset.Must have automation testing experience; automation-first mindset required.Nice to HaveLife insurance domain expertise.Hands-on experience with test automation tools and scaling automated QA practices.Work Conditions & BenefitsLocation: Midtown GTA (off the DVP) with free parking.Work Model: Hybrid — 2–3 days onsite weekly (Wednesday & Thursday required).Compensation: Competitive base salary with annual bonus.Benefits: Comprehensive package including 3 weeks' vacation and pension plan.Hours: Standard business hours; occasional evening availability required for offshore coordination.SRA Staffing is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
