- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure timely settlement of cash movements and trade transactions
- Support fund subscriptions/redemptions and NAV verification
- Manage corporate action events and FX/hedging operations
- Lead end-to-end client onboarding (documentation, KYC/AML, account opening, asset transfers)
- Process registered and non-registered account applications with accuracy and compliance
- Address operational inquiries from clients and advisors with professionalism
- Manage account updates, conversions, fee schedules, and communicate with tax/legal/compliance teams on complex accounts
- Collect, prepare, and validate data for internal/external reports
- Maintain data integrity across operational platforms and CRM systems
- Support due diligence and reconciliation efforts to ensure accuracy
- Identify and improve operational inefficiencies and bottlenecks
- Apply or learn to use automation and AI tools for workflow enhancements
- Document and standardize procedures; champion technology-driven process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation projects and compliance
- Support projects such as platform migrations, new fund launches, and regulatory initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional groups to boost operational efficiency and client service excellence
- 3–5+ years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, or client service within asset or wealth management
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliation, settlements, and subscription/redemption processes
- Familiarity with Canadian registered/non-registered account types and regulatory compliance (CIRO, FINTRAC)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CSC or similar credentials are an asset
- Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros) and proficiency with back-office/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Experience with (or strong interest in learning) automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Power Automate, Zapier) for process improvement
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative with a commitment to high-quality work
