- Conduct formal and informal audits of H&S programs and execute follow up and feedback as necessary.
- Facilitate H&S training to department leaders as required and provide ongoing support
- Support WhistlerBlackcomb supervisors & managers with incident investigations, follow up with action plans and ensure documentation of work
- Monitor electronic employee records, report and follow up on deficiencies
- Support Joint Occupation H&S Committee
- Support the contractor safety program
- Support the Manager of Health and Safety and serve in their absence
- Responding to inquiries and advising department leaders on specific H&S-related matters
- Identify and recommend opportunities to expand H&S training programs and resources to meet departmental or enterprise needs
- Monitor and update H&S content and resources on internal website to reflect new information and regulatory changes
- Develop an understanding of the core business needs and historic/current/predictive safety metrics in order to adjust safety strategy accordingly.
- Execute projects as assigned
- Post-Secondary degree, diploma or certificate in H&S or related field
- Experience with safety management systems and injury management practices
- Comprehensive understanding of WorkSafeBC
- Experience with project management, implementing new initiatives, delivering in person and online training
- Experience working independently & as a part of a team with proven time management and organizational skills
- Experience providing clear and affective feedback to all levels within an organization
- Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
- Experience conducting audits
- Proven ability to gain cooperation and build relationships with a broad range of partners and stakeholders
- BC Driver License
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom)
- Proficient in English
- Able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level
- Certificate of Recognition (COR) Internal Auditor an asset
- OFA I first Aid certificate or higher an asset
