You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, mentor teams, and contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership in the public sector indirect tax space.You will work as part of a team of forward-thinking professionals with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our public sector clients generate cash saving refunds and solve their complex GST/HST issues from strategy to execution.Your role will be to build and develop lasting relationships with our clients, being seen as a trusted advisor and assist them with their indirect tax needs. Specific responsibilities include leading client engagements, research and implementation of an ITC allocation methodology and section 211, user-fee reviews, managing tax audits and disputes, preparing advisory reports, letters, memoranda and presentations on complex topics.You will also be expected to coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning while adopting the firm's apprenticeship training model.About the teamCurrently we are seeking a Senior Manager for our Indirect Tax Recovery group. Our Indirect Tax team helps clients navigate complex tax environments, optimize compliance, and implement innovative strategies. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in indirect tax, with a strong focus on the public sector.
Proven experience managing client engagements and leading project teams.
Strong knowledge of the GST/HST legislation and public sector.
Ability to travel to client sites will be required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
A completed accounting designation (CPA) would be an asset.
Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $116,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
