Our client is hiring an Associate Strategist to support project teams across all aspects of qualitative market research projects, including administrative project set up, drafting of discussion guides, analysis, moderating of discreet methodologies and respondent types and contributing to proposals and debrief writing. Associate Strategists need to be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment and able to verbalize their point of view, as well as like working on a team and in a team environment.Core CompetenciesAccountability: Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments. Project Management
  • Meets all project timelines
  • Ability to prioritize work flow to meet project deliverables
  • Internally leads discreet project tasks, e.g. designing or leading journal analysis
  • Attends and contributes to internal project kick off meetings
  • Assists Project leads in communication of recruiting requirements to Senior Project Manager
  • Updates the project tracker and flags issues and concerns to project lead
  • Manages and monitors AE reporting, compliance tracking (consent forms) and online method privacy monitoring
  • On an as needed basis, supports Research Analyst (RA) in project management tasks
Client Management
  • Understands client expectations and how they link to the design and deliverables of the project work
  • Within in-facility back room, builds client relationships that instill confidence and trust
Desk Research and Analysis
  • Analyzes and summarizes existing client research
  • Prepares cheat sheets on therapeutic areas/categories and competitive brands
  • With a brief, analyzes and summarizes societal and cultural dynamics for development of trends
  • Responsible for fieldwork and internal note taking
  • With guidance, performs analysis and identifies themes and patterns from fieldwork
Discussion Guide Development
  • Develops draft discussion guides for internal review
  • Leverages, interprets and integrates projective techniques appropriately
Moderation
  • Ability to moderate ethnographies/WATIs with no/or junior clients attending or listening
Debrief Writing
  • Attends and contributes to debrief brainstorm meetings
  • Visualizes concepts or insights in an impactful way
  • With coaching and guidance, writes sections of a more complex debrief
  • With coaching and guidance, writes a templated debrief
Business Development
  • Ability with coaching to lead the development of proposals and capability/credential decks
EDUCATION:
  • Post-Secondary/Graduate Degree in social sciences, business, or marketing
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 - 5 years
  • Market research an asset
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid passport
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Some travel required for project work
LANGUAGES:
  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • French or other languages are an asset
LOGISTIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hybrid remote and in-office schedule
